Carolyne is passionate about dogs and art.

The story goes that while painting a dog at the Ottawa School of art,

the educator commented: “That’s it, Carolyne, you should be painting dogs!” And the rest is history..

After graduating from the Fine Arts Diploma programme in 2021, Carolyne founded Hounds of the Hood studio and PawpArt Greeting Cards. She is a painter, illustrator, writer, sculptor, photographer and designer. 

Carolyne’s paintings can be found in collections in Canada, Europe, the United States, and Great Britain.

Carolyne  has participated in several group shows and has had solo shows in Ottawa and Carleton Place. Her work was featured in Catchlight magazine and in the movie Well Suited for Christmas
